b`AmBoo delights in bringing a hint of the East into your homes. Our furniture and Homeware specialise in a subtle blend of Oriental and European design.

The combination of modern lacquer and the traditional old china collection is unique to New Zealand, hand embroidered silks sit alongside the earthy Vietnamese tapestry.

For the owners of b`AmBoo it was important for us when we decided to import some of the beautiful products from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos that we did so with companies who ensure  the local people benefit from our trading.

b`AmBoo chooses to buy from small village workers and all the products are lovingly hand made starting with the raw product, the silks are hand woven and hand dyed and dried in the fields, then village women embroider and hand sew each fine piece.  The ceramics are hand thrown, and painted then fired in brick kilns.  Our furniture is made by families in the village with the men doing the intricate carvings and wood work. 

Each of our items is unique, there is subtle variations in colours and finish, we believe this adds rather than detracts to our product portraying the individual craftsmanship.
